I was doing a bit of poking around on the internet this morning for an article that i am writing and stumbled upon this fantastic blog post about the LA writer, Eve Babitz.

I interview Eve years ago for Twenty Thousand Roads and meeting her in my early 20s was responsible for my love of Joan Didion, Norman Mailer and 60s LA Pop.

usw: family update

paul and i were recently featured in the anglo-berliner column of carpe berlin. you can check it out here. we've been really busy lately getting things together for our next exhibition. paul has been working a lot and i'm still writing in addition to our gallery duties, so it gets overwhelming, but we're happy nonetheless. we've completed some massive projects lately,expanding the gallery into a second room and dividing it fully from the living space.

i visited the ausländer behörde this week and we should have no problem getting our visas to operate the gallery legally and continue to work as a journalist and web designer respectively.

we've got a ton of visitors coming in the near future and are also awaiting the arrival of our good friend M, who will be moving here in two weeks....
